The First Airedales in America and Canada By Martin Reinartz First Airedale in the USA was Bruce which was imported by Mr. C. H. Mason. Bruce won 1881 1. place in the class of rough haired terriers in a show in Just because there had not been a Airedale bitch in the States in this time he started not the first Airedale strain in Amerika.New York. The first real important Airedale which have been also importeded dogs have been Ch. Clonmel Marvel and Ch. Clonmel Sensation which made together with Ch. The first Airedale in Canada was 1899 imported by Joseph Lauren. (Colne Kennel). He spared neither effort nor expense to get the best dogs from GB. His famous bitch Ch. Dumbarton Lass won 15 champion titels.
